The prongs on the first one are great and the lower setting would be more practical!

Both are beautiful! I slightly prefer the first one because it looks like a little bud blossoming. You would likely have a gap with a wedding band due to the low setting and the prong style, but whether that’s a problem or not is definitely a personal preference.

AnutaBee:  Ooh, I love these! I think you can’t go wrong with either setting, but personally I prefer the first one for comfort and practicality as I’m not the biggest fan of high settings. But I guess then with the lower setting I’m not sure if your wedding band would sit flush with your engagment ring and I’m not sure whether you care about that.

I think enhanced/unenhanced is up to you and I think that this really depends on the individual stone, because I’ve definitely seen some unenhanced stones that seem basically colorless. I think with larger carat sizes it’s better to do enhanced, but if you’re at a 1 ct equivalent you could go either way depending on what your preference is. If I were you, I’d definitely order the stone first to check it out and then send it back to have it set. I think that way you would have the most control of what stone you actually end up with, and I don’t know if this is common with how expensive these stones are but you could order two (one enhanced/one unenhanced) to compare and return one.

AnutaBee:  Oh I meant if you order two stones, you can return the one you like less.

I have not ordered through MoissaniteCo, but I believe I have seen threads in which people have ordered loose stones to see them and then sent those specific stones back to be set into their rings. I assume the address to which they sent the stone they wanted to keep and that would be set into their ring would not be the same address as the one they would use to return a stone that they did not want to keep, but I’m sure that the people at MoissaniteCo can tell you a lot more information about whether that’s possible and how it works, considering that I do not have personal experience with that.

I have had an unenhanced cushion and oec…I can say the cushion faced up extremely white! I also have a round brilliant but it is amora enhanced and IMO way way to white. The OEC is very warm and gorgeous..but I love warm stone 🙂

AnutaBee:  I like that idea! You will get something you like but still a small surprise!

I think that the OEC is by far the best cut for moissanite and also the most diamond-like. Only you can decide if that’s a good thing or not. I’d definitely go for enhanced, you’re not talking a ton of extra $$ here to get an enhanced stone, but that’s me. YMMV.

I like the first one because it looks more like a flower and that third you posted with the little sidestone. They’re both very pretty!
