Ashleypeter2015:  Get the Miadonna for now and upgrade it to an Amora when it’s available. According to the website it’s less than a year from now. Your other stone won’t be ruined between now and then. Asscher is my favorite cut also.

Ashleypeter2015:  Hm, I feel that you’re in a pickle. I mean, I would hope that you get your dream ring, but I would want something forever right off the bat so that I wouldn’t have to worry about the upkeep of the current stone while waiting for one that is indefinitely postponed.

I went ahead and voted for the radiant moissanite. Maybe I am biased since I now have a radiant moissanite and it’s my dream ring, but I know that your dream ring is an asscher which is such a beautiful and unique cut.

Have you considered a white sapphire in an asscher cut? They are gorgeous and since that cut “flashes” rather than “sparkles” you probably won’t notice much of a difference, and it will last a lifetime versus the MiaDonna. Maybe something like this? https://www.etsy.com/listing/125792142/ladies-platinum-diamond-engagement-ring?ref=sr_gallery_28&ga_search_query=white+sapphire+asscher&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

Or, you could check out other diamond alternatives like Bella Luce by jtv.com, or Diamonique by QVC. Diamonique has a lifetime guarantee so if the stone ever cracks, chips, or fades they’ll replace it for free or a very small fee, I don’t remember what the exact policy is now. At least, it’ll be goregous and it isn’t expensive so you can definitely upgrade to the Amora when it is available. Check out an example here: http://www.qvc.com/Epiphany-Diamonique-2.60-ct-tw-Asscher-Cut-Ring.product.J309718.html?sc=J309718-User&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION-_-9-_-J309718&catentryImage=http://images.qvc.com/is/image/j/18/j309718.001?$uslarge$

Ashleypeter2015:  You might want to look at other bees on here for their radiants as mine is a canary! I didn’t tell any of my friends what is was, and my friend swore it was a canary diamond 😉 Excuse the green in it, I decided to wear a mint green shirt that day.

Here is a link to a thread with some radiant moissanites. I don’t see much warmth at all, and I think they definintely pass for diamonds! I also think it all depends on the lighting and your surroundings, as moissanite picks up the colors around you. http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/radiant-moissanite/#axzz3E6ZV57Am
