i've been having the exact same problem! my e-ring is very similar to yours. i've decided to just wear my e-ring on my right hand, and then get a sweet wedding band... i feel like i have soooo many more options now!
Try a local jeweler who can actually make the jewelry. They might be able make a plain yellow gold band that fits beside the ring and underneath the stone. Kind of like a cradle. Jewelers are much of the time cheaper. Etsy has some: mastergoldcraft I think is the name would probably be able to create something for $200-$300.
Hopefully I won't get in trouble by the moderator for suggesting a vendor :/
Also, have you considered possibly getting your ring fused? In that case you could just add a diamond band around the outside and fuse it. I'm not a fan but if you don't mind that prospect..
I have to get one made. Not super happy about the cost of this. Now I try to warn all people who are picking out engagement rings to pick a set.
a lot of ring stores also told me that I could just wear my engagement ring on my right hand and get a wedding band for the left.
If I am not happy with the look of the 'custom' ring, I will go with this option. At first I was totally against it, but now I am warming up to the idea of having the E-ring on the right hand.
Im having the same problem, mine wasnt a set , and I can just wear a plain white gold band it just doesnt look right, Ive tried it. I have to find one to match the sides of my ring exactly heres a pic of mine
I would probably put a band like this with your ering! what do you think?? It wont set flush to your ring but lots of people wear them like that too!!
Your ring is very nice. I suggest looking for a wrap that is contoured out where your stone would sit.
thanks everyone for the advice! you girls are always so helpful :)
@mallory- i love your e-ring so pretty! and i realy like that band- where did you see that at. i saw one online that was similar that i am seriously considering it.
I like the ring that Mallryjnf posted - but I don't mind the "gap" between an E-ring and a wedding band that don't sit flush with one another.
If you don't mind the gap, you could really pair any band with it...
@stargal - THANKS! I found that one just by google'ing gold wedding eternity bands.. But if you click on that picture of the ring itself it takes you to amazon.com
I kind of like the way rings look with a gap between the e-ring and wedding band. I think there's a thread called "mind the gap" either somewhere on here or on pricescope with a ton of pics of ring sets that don't sit flush, if you want to see some.
i can't find a band that works either., since my e ring is split shank. SO, i'm just going to make it a RHR and get whatever i want for a band.
I was having that same problem, and I didn't want to have a band molded to fit my e-ring...just in case I want to ever wear the band alone. I ended up with this dainty sapphire eternity ring, and I love it!
Do you care if they don't sit flush? Have you tried any bands on? It'd help to see a side shot of the ring because you can't tell much by looking at it straight on. My ring is a unique shape (posted in the gallery a few times) and I was really surprised when a 2mm deep (extra thick) wedding band sat flush against it.
I was really hoping that my ring store would be able to make the custom band for me by this month, but I just found out that my ring was out of stock so I'll have to give them my ring to make the custom band. Now I'm not so happy about this, so I'm thinking even more for sure that I'll wear the E ring on my right hand and now I can go for a more bling bling wedding band. :)
Hi,
Would a very small band fit underneath the main stone? Try to find something with a low profile. I would suggest stearing clear of jewelers (who could custom make something) because they typically charge $350 just for any type of casting, not including the cost of the gold.
mallorynjmf posted a nice option. I found mine on ebay and it fit underneath my center stone.
Good luck! Beautiful ring!
I would look at bluenile too, they have some nice bands that I think would look very pretty with your e-ring. I really like the one posted by mallorynjmf.
thanks everyone for all your advice!!! def going to check out some rings out on ebay and bluenile.
My ring doesn't allow for a band either but that doesn't bother me....I'm just not going to get a band. I love my e-ring! :)
I had to get a band made for my e-ring. It's small, white gold and because I had to have it made, $675. For a gold band. I wasn't happy, but I didn't like the look of a regular band next to it. The gap was just too large.

so i love love love my engagemnt ring but i cant seem to find a wedding band to fit with it. its not a typical "engagement ring" so it doesnt sit up higher like more erings do. heres a picture of it- anyone have any suggestions- i cant afford to get one customed made and i really want to wear both rings together on my left hand.
