After reading many posts here from brides on buying lights, I decided to wait until after Christmas to stock up on all of my lights I’ll need for my wedding. But now I’m having trouble finding lights – stores have sold out. Does anyone know of a store that still has lights (the warm white mini led string lights, and also I’m looking for G40 globe patio string lights). I can get them anywhere between Orange County, LA, South Bay, up through Ventura County. My only other alternative at this point is getting them online for full price plus shipping. 🙁
If anyone has some leftover from Christmas they’d like to sell, let me know!

@christineandjohn: I’m not in your area, but I got my lights at Lowes, maybe stores like Lowes and Home Depot might still have some? Good luck!

Lowes and have them shipped to your store but hurry before they sell out!

Try Walmart, Big Lots and hardware stores (like OSH). Dollar stores (99c only stores, Dollar Tree) sometimes have lights too but I don’t know if I’d trust them if they’re that cheap? But then again I’m super paranoid when it comes to things that might start a fire!

I checked many, many Lowe’s and Home Depots in LA and Orange County. In many cases where the site said they had some in stock, they in fact didn’t. I finally found all of the mini lights I needed at Lowe’s in Anaheim. I’m still in need of the G40 globe lights. I found a Target with Room Essentials but they’re not LED and only connect up to 50 ft, which will cause a nightmare of extension cord management. My hope is that some Target will get a new shipment of the Philips brand lights. I’m kicking myself for not buying them when I saw them in the store a couple of months go. Was hoping to clean up after Christmas…
Thanks all for your responses. 🙂

@christineandjohn: Did you check Craigslist?

I went looking for lights three days after xmas and the shelves had been ransacked. I didn’t see G30 strings at all around here so that may be something that has to be ordered. I ended up getting the mini strands at Walmart and the last five strands of C9 LEDs at Lowe’s (they were still $10 a strand, luckily I’ve been wanting some larger white lights for the house and LEDs last forever). I looked for the G30s at first, but the cheapest I could find were $25 for 25 lights which was 25 feet and I needed 150 feet or so and it was just a bit cost prohibitive.

@julies1949: Thanks, I have been searching craigslist every few days, but for the G50 lights, and I think by putting “G50″in the search I missed out on a good prospect there.
