I’m bummed! I really wanted to walk down the aisle to an instrumental version of Peter Gabriel’s In Your Eyes. After scouring the internet, I’ve found a lot of other people who are looking for sheet music as well – but he has never released it. I’ve only found guitar chords and tabs. We’ve hired a flutist and violinist – I emailed them, but am not feeling too confident that they’d be able to transform the chords/tabs to their respective instruments. I’m waiting to hear back from them, but can anyone offer any insight? Should I start looking for a new processional?

Hmm. I would definitely have a backup, but pay attention to what your musicians say. They likely have access to a bigger specturm of sheet music. When i hired my string trio I asked them to play certain songs and left it up to them to find the sheet music. For only one song was there no sheet msuic available and it wasn’t a vital song (processional, or recessional)
Hope someone finds it though!

I would definitely wait to see what your musicians can come up with. Our string duo could play pretty much anything and had sheet music for a lot of popular songs. However, it’s not a bad idea to keep your eyes (and ears) out for other songs, just in case.

I’d definitely have a back up but your musicians should be able to figure it out if they have enough time! (years of violin lessons has taught me to write music upon hearing it). I requested 3 songs from our musicians that they didn’t have arrangements for and was told that they would be able to get them in time. Good luck!!

Thanks, everyone! My musician responded and said she would try to find the melody, at least, to make an arrangement. Fingers are crossed!
