Try out Payless. In another thread, we were talking shoes and there's a bee who has a great pair of colored flats.
I am already taller than FI and I too have been looking for flats that weren't sandals or too ballet slilpper looking. I have been looking high and low for flat, cute, affordable pink shoes for ten months and finally found some that might work. It just takes patience I guess! :)
Are you looking for shoes to match your dress or do you want color? Where have you looked so far? I would religiously check endless.com, nordstrom.com, and piperlime along with zappoz for flats. You can sort by color, which helps a lot too. You have to check often too. Twice I lost out on shoes in my size that were perfect!
Rachel leigh: I'm desperately trying to find cute pink flats....where did you find yours???
@Shaema: Nordies! They just posted them. I am still not 100 percent sure about them being the right pink, but they are the best I have found so far: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3065355/0~2376778~2372808~2372904~2376184?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=2376184&P=1
I want to try them on in stores, but I haven't seen them in stores yet.
P.S. Is your profile name your first name? It sounds almost exactly like my last name. :)
@rachel_leigh My mom just emailed me those exact shoes last night! I am on the hunt for adorable pink flats (a flower accent would be even better!). I can't believe how hard it is to find cute flats!
@ snow: I know it! I am hoping that with spring lines coming in more options will be posted. J Crew has had some okay ones, but yikes! So expensive!
There were also some that Miss Bunny posted about at Urban Outfitters that were my dream shoes, but they were out of my size by the time I found out about them. :(
Check the Cole Haan and the Kate Spade sites - both are having big shoe sales right now and have some cute options:

I'm in a dilemma trying to find shoes! Getting married in April and it's outdoors. The venue has some gravel and grass which we'll be walking through for pictures. The ceremony/reception area is grass and dirt.
So I don't want to wear heels so I won't trip and also so I'm not taller than my fiance. I don't want to wear sandals because gravel and dirt will get all inside of them. I also want something kind of trendy, comfortable, but not too casual. Everything I find is ballerina slippers which are not at all my style or 90's style squared-off shoes.
Anyone have ideas on where to look? Inexpensive is good, too. :)
