Hello bees, I’m new to the hive. I’ve always found everybody’s posts so helpful so thought it was about time I joined!
I’m keep getting pangs of doubt about my dress so I’m hoping I could get an outside opinion.
I originally imagined my wedding dress as something soft, flowy, delicate and feminine. The dress I ended up buying wasn’t what I pictured myself wearing at all, but I felt so amazing when I tried it on. I actually surprised myself in the mirror because I’ve never seen myself look like that and none of the other dresses I tried gave me that feeling (I tried 40+ dresses). My friends loved it too so I ended up buying it, but now I’m not sure if it has that delicate, feminine look I’m after? Like the lace seems a bit stiff? I keep going back and forth about it…I feel so silly but I can’t stop thinking about it 🙁
I think part of the reason I keep second guessing myself is because I keep seeing other wedding dresses that are so beautifully delicate, soft and feminine. Is that just normal because new dresses are always coming out?
Would still love some opinions…

I have to say it looks delicate to me. The lacy looks super feminine and not too overdone. It looks tasteful and seems to suit your slender frame. I think you picked a winner.

MoonRabbit: your dress is gorgeous and looks wonderful on you! I think it is very feminine. Many brides end up choosing a dress which isn’t what they initially imagined, myself included. There is a reason that this dress gave you and your friends “that feeling”. I am sure you’ll love it on the day. 🙂

You look BEAUTIFUL! Your dress is definitely delicate and soft – the details in the lace are so gorgeous.
Stop looking at new season dresses! There are probably a thousand dresses out there that you’ll love, but you chose yours after trying on a lot – and for good reason 🙂

MoonRabbit: Wow, I think you look absolutely amazing, and the shape you have in that dress is the ultimate feminine statement. I think one of the reasons so many brides have some level of dress regret or concern is because it’s so hard to only pick one! There are just so many beautiful styles that at the end of the day, you’re always going to be missing out on something you like.
If you’re really concerned, go and try a few more on. You need to be happy on your special day, afterall. But if that’s the dress you walk down the aisle in, you are seriously going to knock your FIs socks off. You really can’t go wrong with whatever you decide. Good luck!

MoonRabbit: Your dress is GORGEOUS. Absolutely gorgeous and probably one of the prettiest that I’ve ever seen – on the Bee and otherwise. It is so delicate, feminine, and intricate… I mean it when I say that you have no reason to second guess your purchase!

Gosh, thanks for your support bees! It’s giving me a lot of confidence in my dress again 🙂 I forgot to mention before that my mum didn’t like the dress so that could have contributed

MoonRabbit: DO NOT try any more dresses on. There is a reason you picked this dress. It looks stunning on you. I love how you paired it with the veil. It flatters your figure beautifully. The feel of the dress is feminine and romantic. You’d be crazy to second guess this.

MoonRabbit: Oh my goodness! That dress looks amazing on you. I agree with PPs that it is very soft, feminine, and romantic-looking — even though it’s not “flowy”. You are a beautiful bride!!

I think it’s lovely! I sell wedding dresses, and I think about 1/2 of my brides end up doing a 180 and getting something they didn’t expect. I sometimes feel like the “surprise” of that decision makes their experience that much more special! Unless you dislike the way you look in the dress or really and truly feel unhappy with your decision, I’d stop thinking about it (and stop looking at other people’s dresses!), because your gown really and truly suits you.
