@Sadiepoo:  I’d say it was the responsibility of the bride and groom to do this, not yours.

When I don’t know the mother of the bride, it’s pretty rare for me to talk to her, unless it’s a very small wedding.

@Sadiepoo:  It’s not a huge deal in my book. The only time I’ve talked to parents of the bride/groom is when I have sought them out because we already have a relationship (friend, relative, whatever). Most of the time, the parents seem pretty busy enjoying themselves! I wouldn’t sweat it!

I would never expect the parents of the bride/groom to speak with me if we weren’t close. Even if we were, i know how busy a wedding day and how hard it can be to make it around to everyone

Glad the wedding was wonderful! I’m sure no one felt snubbed–I’ve never been greeted by the MOB at a wedding, except in the receiving line!
