So my formal wear novice really came out when we went to buy FI’s tux. None of the places will let him try on the suits and that really threw me. They all just measure him and then order the suit directly, which Idk if that’s standard or just our area but I was kind of disappointed. I thought a bow tie would be cute but I wanted to see how it looked against his jawline and neck before deciding but nope…have to buy it first, so we went with a safe long tie. I also wanted him to try on different styles and colors against his skin because Fiance is iffy about trying anything different so I wanted to maybe open his mind to more options and mixing/matching.
We went with a classic black Jean Yves tux but I guess the girly girl in me is just disappointed we couldn’t play dress up.

Men’s ware house did that for my Fiance and GM’s too. Was really bummed about that too

My Darling Husband was able to try on a tux at Men’s Warehouse. I guess it depends on the store and what sizes they have in stock

@msfahrenheit: Wish ours did.
I actually got angry with the lady in Men’s Wearhouse (first place we went) when she said we couldn’t try them on because right in front of me was another room with dressing cubicles. I almost started a fight with her and asked “What are those dressing rooms for, then?” cause I thought she just didn’t feel like helping us.
But I’m a sissy and instead went “oh…ok, then, thanks anyways”
