You guys, I'm REALLY excited to pick up our puppy. Next week (on Valentine's day) our little Pearl will be 8 weeks old and we'll be allowed to finally pick her up! We've decided on celebrating Valentine's that weekend and going to Dallas on Friday night. The breeder is about 2 hours away from there, and we'll be picking Pearl up on Saturday.
What really made me get extra excited is the fact that the breeder just emailed me and said she'll be ready at 1 to be picked up that day! I'm so excited!!!!
I can't wait to get our puppy and add to our little family. Any one else got a puppy/dog they just love to pieces? Show me a picture of you, your SO/FI/DH, and your dog! Once we get Pearl next weekend, I'll post ours!
Here's my Bichon Frise (I'm standing in the background). His name is Bailey and he's very sweet. Can't wait to see yours!
@Bichon Frise: He is adorable!
@vintagemodernbride: That is so exciting! What breed is she?
Here is my baby, chocolate lab! Her name is Angel!

Aint she a cutie?!

No family pictures together yet though!

Here is when he was a little man. Ignore my duck lips and peace sign. . . this was 6 years ago!! hehe
@vintagemodernbride: what kind of puppy are you guys getting?? Ahhh I was so anxious when we were waiting for our little one to turn old enough to take home with us. I dont want to post pics of us with the munchkin but here are some pics of his cute self:

^^ He was 12 weeks old in this one. I wanna say this was a day or so after we got him.

^^He was about 6 months old in this pic? Maybe 4-6 months. His "teen" years lol

^^ That's my little baby now, 2 years old :D Love him to friggin pieces. He's 1/2 Maltese, 1/2 Poodle. We have no kids so in my heart, he's mine! I never ever get tired of a doggy thread!
Aww, congratulations!! What an exciting "Valentine's Day"!! I remember when we got my puppy, it's almost been exactly 3 years (I think it was the week after Valentine's Day). Here's a picture from the day I brought her home...
she was so tiny! She was only 3 pounds when we brought her home at 12 weeks old! here's a picture of my dad (pop pop hehe) holding her...
here's a picture of our whole family minus the cat because she doesn't go on vacations with us haha... (this was the best of 5 pictures we took, impossible to get everyone to look at the same time)
Here's my baby! He's 6 months now
Here he is when we took him home at 8 weeks

This is our Shep! He is a Bo-Chi (boston terrier/chihuahua mix)
Aww that is so exciting! I wish I could go back to puppy stage (sometimes!)
Here's Harrison when we adopted him at 6 months old:

And here he is now, 2 years later:

This is our little one, Pearl. We get her on Saturday :) She's a teacup Maltipoo! These are two pictures the breeder sent us. The first is when she was 6 weeks old (she's now 8 which is why we finally get to get her) and the second is when she was 2 weeks old. I can't wait to get her this weekend!

Everyone's pups are adorable! Here's our girl, we adopted her in September at 18 months old.

Here is out bulldog Lita who passed away about a year ago:

And here is the puppy we rescued. She's about 1 year old now and a big ball of energy!
<3
We did some family portraits during our engagement pictures. Love them!

Here's my baby. Her name is Satiné. She's a 6 year old maltese.

If you're planning to pick her up in two days, it's probably too late, but I feel like I should mention that responsible breeders don't breed mutts. There is no breed called a maltipoo...it's a mixed breed. Secondly, there is no such thing as a "teacup dog"...it's a phrase irresponsible breeders use to attract attention and line their pockets. Please read The Teacup Puppy Phenomenom, The Truth About Teacup Puppies, and probably most importantly, How Responsible Breeders Differ From Backyard Breeders and Pet Shops. The first two links are relatively short, and the third contains more links to further infomation, if you're interested.
The fact that this breeder is selling you not only a designer mutt, but one labeled "teacup" means you should run, not walk, away. In the end, the choice is yours, but please, educate yourself before you buy. Good luck!
@kswiftbride: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your girl! <3
This is my boy, Buddy! He's a golden retriever/lab mix...a foster failure!

@Miss Apricot: This. Supporting the breeding of 'teacup' dogs is beyond cruel in my humblest of opinions.
This is my booger:

Basset mutt. =D
Oh, I forgot to label my picture, we have a pug "Bogey", pomeranian "Templeton" and chihuahua "Pedro".
@Miss Apricot: That is AWESOME information for people to read & get educated!
Here is Derby girl, our almost 3ish year old rescue dog (also a foster failure!) :)
Oh, also, another link about BYBs vs responsible breeders!
http://dogplay.com/GettingDog/breedercomparison.htm
OP, he is an Airedale Terrier. I fell in love with the breed because of their silly looooong noses!
@Baimee: Excellent link! I've bookmarked that one to use for future reference! :)
@Miss Apricot: actually, my dog comes from a very reputable breeder and i specifically wanted a maltipoo (though i meant toy, not teacup). i was a big fan of the maltipoo jessica simpson got when she was married and have researched them ever since. the breeder we're going to is not a "puppy mill" or anything like that. not only that, but i have several friends that have gotten dogs from this breeder. all i asked for were pictures of people and their dogs, not comments on anything else- but thank you for your concern.
@bellebride25: the long nose is what makes your dog so unique looking! i love it :)
