I actually used MMF and they were awesome :)
BUT, if they're out of your price range, another photographer I know in the area recommends this place for make-up sometimes:

It looks like they're closer to the $50 price range when it comes to make-up, which is much cheaper than MMF.
@MissChapstick: I knowwww MMF is awesome ;o) However, I'm paying for hair and makeup for 13 people, so not exactly in my price range haha
Thanks for the recommendation. Do you know if they will come to your house? Because Saratoga is way too far to travel on that day-of. (We'll be in Latham)
Hmm, I'm not sure if they will travel, but I'm sure they'd be happy to answer questions over the phone.
I just feel for you because we got married in the Capital Region as well, and we had a REALLY hard time finding hair/make-up people that would travel, which is why we went with MMF. However, I wasn't as nice as you and didn't pay for everyone's, so I was able to splurge a bit.
I hope you find someone. If you do, keep me posted :)
I'm going with A&Co Salon, they're I think $45 per person for makeup.. and from what I remember of the conversation I had with them, they will travel to your house/hotel for a flat fee of $100 per stylist. Good luck!
@hotchildinthecity check out Comlexions Day Spa on Wolf Road in Colonie
http://www.complexions.com/spa/make-up-eyelash-application/
Bridal Makeup $77.00
Includes one consultation with application and a tube of your bridal lip colour to take with you. Each additional member of the bridal party is $37.00. We would be happy to accommodate you at your location for a fee of $100.00 plus $37.00 per person.
Thanks, PinkSparkle and SugarSweetPink. I'm going to check those both out. I also posted an ad in Metroland so maybe I'll get some bites ;o)
I've heard good things about Flawless By Tina...not sure how much she costs, though. I can vouch for complexions as I get my hair cut there.
Word of warning on Flawless by Tina - I was in a wedding that she worked on and she was at least an hour late. That's why I'm using Amy Elizabeth (she's expensive, though).
Just an update -- I went with Jennifer McCarthy of True Grace Makeup. I had my trial last weekend and she was fabulous. I'm really looking forward to working with her :o)

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I'm looking for a reasonably priced makeup artist in the Capital Region. I'm paying for all my bridesmaids, moms, and grandmas to get their makeup done, so unfortunately I cannot afford something like Make Me Fabulous.
This person would need to come to my parents' house since there's no way I can drag 13 women to the mall after getting our hair done all morning ;o)
I'm fine with someone who does this part-time, works at a makeup counter and does this on the side, etc. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post someone's name/contact info on the boards.
Thanks!
