- Wedding: October 2016
I wanted to post my review for Cara Bridal.
I contacted Cara Bridal in early June 2016 to replicate a wedding dress for me. I really wanted a Katie May Princeville Gown, but the cost was outrageous. I sent–in my inital e-mail to Cara Bridal–pictures of the dress I wanted, with specific details.
I received an e-mail back a few days later from Olive, the designer. From there, Olive drew a sketch of the gown and was able to quote me on the price of the custom-made dress. Olive and I emailed each other back-and-forth quite a bit for a few weeks as we decided on the perfect fabric, lace, etc. She sent me pictures of everything prior to sewing the dress. Once I paid for the gown and sent her my custom sizing measurements, she began sewing the dress.
I didnt hear from Olive for a few weeks afterthat, but she assured me to “not worry” and that she would email pictures of the dress before it wad finalized and shipped.
I did have to send a second request for the pictures, but Olive did so within 24hrs of the request.
She shipped my dress out on a Wednesday and I received it from DHL that Monday. The dress came lightly folded in the DHL packaging, but was in perfect condition.
The dress is absolutely GORGEOUS! It is more beautiful than what I anticipated it to be , and so is the quality. The dress looks so similar to a Katie May gown, that I am in shock. The lace, silk underlay and stitching is beautiful.
I HIGHLY recommend Olive and Cara Bridal for any custom made dress. Be specific when corresponding with her, and be patient–as she always got back to me. You will not be disappointed! Have a professional seamstress measure you prior to sending her your measurements.. this will ensure proper fitting.
I an uploading the pictures she took and sent to me . will upload pictures of the dress on me in a few days when i have someone to take the picture.
