How active are you? Will having a larger stone get in the way of your day to day activities? Reality hit me this week. I will have to take off my ring for a lot of our winter activities because it does not fit inside my gloves. I never thought that would be an issue.

I think you should go for the 2 carat, it would be perfect for your finger size. Remember that the bypass halo adds probably about 1mm or more. 3 carat will be really big especially with a halo.

mrssloan2013:  I agree and would also go for 2. You definitely should take into account the halo, which will make it look even bigger.

FutureMrsDrB:  I don’t think 2 with the halo would look ridiculous on a size 9 finger. But if it’s far far larger than what the average woman in your town/city has, you might feel a bit out of place with it.

Your ring choice is stunning!! I love the design! I think the 2 or 3 carat would look beautiful. Diamond shrinkage is a real disease lol! I used to wear a 2 carat solitare on my right hand, then my grandmother gifted her 4 carat diamond and my husband had it reset to fit my size 6 finger. At first I thought it was too big. But I’m used to it now and I love the size, it is a solitare though and with the added halo it would look funny on my finger, maybe. But on your size I think it would look proportioned! It’s up to you though and I will post a pic of my 4 carat solitare.

Peanut-Sue:  Hahaha, DSS is so real. Sometimes when my ring is looking oddly small to me, I take it off and put it on my pinky. Or take a picture of it. And then I’m like holy crap, yeah, don’t need to go bigger.

TheGridMonster:  oh I hate it lol. I usually won’t wear it for a day & get my nails done. I’ve always worn acrylic. But I’ve discovered that the shorter the nails, the bigger the diamond looks. It’s so ridiculous lol but we gotta do what we gotta do! And let me just say that it’s so comforting that I’m not alone.

Peanut-Sue:  I think you’re totally right about the nails! I hadn’t even thought of it, but mine have been creepily long lately and that might explain some things!
