If you don't think you need one, don't have one! =) If there is not a card box for guests to locate, they'll probably come to you though, so just make sure there is somewhere you can keep them secure - i.e. a safe nearby, or a trusted bridal party member to keep them for you.
I agree with krissycake. For such a small party, I probably wouldn't have one. Just be sure that you can put them someone safe.
I'd have a decorative card box - so that way it doesn't seem so obvious. Maybe a bird cage of some sorts.

I am having a very small wedding - under 20 people including myself, sweetheart and 2 daughters. We have both been married before, have established homes and aren't in need of anything so we don't expect gifts. Even though we aren't anticipating anything, should we have a card box just in case someone wants to give us a card? It seems a little presumptuous given the situation but maybe its a good idea?
