I’m having a destination wedding… YAY!!!!
We have not registered anywhere nor mentioned gifts in anyway because we do not expect to receive any since our guests are all traveling.
Therefore, I do not plan on having a card box. Do you think that’s the right decision? What if some people DO bring a card and I don’t have a box?
My main worry is having a card box and people thinking they were “supposed” to bring something or that we “expected” something.
What do you think?
What did YOU do?

You can’t control it – some people WILL bring cards. Without a box, in the chaos of a wedding reception, some are almost guaranteed to be lost. My vote is better safe than sorry.

I haven’t been to many weddings and wasn’t sure about the card box idea either. Frankly, I don’t think my guests will bring a card. But just in case, I’ll make a darn box and I’ll put a fake card in it so it won’t look lonely and empty if nobody else brings one.

Thanks Ladies – i think i will bring something for cards. I don’t think there will be $$ in the card… but i DO think that many of my guests would bring a card and i would hate for them to go missing.

I would bring a card box, but probably just one of the cheap pop up cardbox boxes. They usually cost around $10.
