…mine was a faux cake, not sure if that is what you are looking for though.<br />

You can always get a big box and wrap it in some nice wrapping paper with a hole on the top of it.

I’m curious about this as well, interested to see what people suggest.

@futuremrscrowe That is a cool design! Do you think it’s awkward that it’s visible how many cards are in the box?

Peanut-Sue:  It’s acrylic. I found it on ebay but if you google acrylic card box you should be able to find other options.

We wanted something a bit different too and spent ages trying to figure what to use. It was my husband who finally came up with the idea for the box- he saw the basketball display boxes at Michael’s and thought it would be cool to use for a card box. I thought it was too plain so I used some “stained glass window” paint to jazz it up a bit.

You could use a stainless steel mailbox. Use a vinyl decal in a modern font for “Cards”|All|matchallpartial|all+categories&lnk=snav_sbox_stainless+steel+mailbox

Don’t limit yourself. Go to Home Depot, Target, Staples, etc- all sorts of stores and look at things with this in mind “Can this have a slit cut in it and can it be locked?”

I have seen people do a large vase for cards and decorate it either at the top or on the table with flowers.  There is an example here

(scroll to nearly the bottom)

I am doing a plain navy (one of my colors) box from the Container Store with the lid open and lining the inside with some silver sparkly wrapping paper.

I’m planning to use a lantern. I love the clean lines and it can be a nice contrast for a modern space.
