I can’t come up with a creatie idea for my cardbox for my wedding. So far, all I have come up with are a vintage traincase and a birdcage both of which i have ruled out. Any other ideas? What are you ladies who are having vintage weddings doing for a cardbox?

My friend made hers using old wine corks. I’m going to use it for my wedding. I should have it in a few weeks. If I forget to post pictures, remind me! It was very unique and everyone loved it!

I’m not sure the “vintage” era you are going for, but a hat box would be lovely.

Our wedding is vintage inspired and we are going to use a picnic basket for our card box (we love picnics!)

@helenberrycrunch: The hat box idea is great! My friend had a whimsical wedding and used hat boxes covered with vintage fabrics as her card boxes. They looked fabulous!
You also might want to check out antique, thrift, and collectible stores. My friend found an old box shaped like a telephone from the 1940s and used it as her card box. Very chic!

I just found this today…this is what I’m going to do for sure for my vintage-themed wedding.
The lace table runner and flowers complete the look!
I’ve also collected vintage post cards and will set them out for guests to sign and “mail” in another small suitcase instead of a guest book.
I’d love to share more vintage wedding decor ideas!

Mrs.Dachshund made one of the cutest card boxes I ever saw, and looks very vintage. Here is a link to that blog:

How about making one? You get a box (like the box that 10 or so reams of paper comes in)..wrap it in wrapping paper and then add embellishments to it. I have made a few and they have turned out beautifully 🙂
