Okay so I bought my BMs their shoes as part of their gift. They’re silver, open toe, strappy and quite comfy so I’m hoping they can wear them again sometime. I would like to give them either a clutch or cardigan as the other part of their gift. It’s an outdoor reception and even though it’ll be summer sometimes it gets a bit chilly at night. I’m thinking they’d also be able to wear the cardigans again, I’d probably do a silver or grey color to match the shoes. I like the idea of cute silver clutches with some type of rhinestones on them but I’m not sure they’d get as much use in the future. As a bridesmaid, which would you rather receive? I would do both but I have 5 girls so the budget doesn’t really allow it.

Cardigan, I feel like I’d get a lot more use out of it.

I’m actually giving my ladies clutches, but I know that their lifestyles accommodate future use of cute, designer clutches (and they’re each getting different ones to match their tastes). It sounds like you think the cardigans would get more use with your set of girls, so I think you should go that route. Who doesn’t want a cute cardigan? It also sounds very practical if your venue might be chilly in the evening.

I think the cardigan is a better idea in this situation. Plus it will keep everyone matching.

I vote for clutches. You can also fill them with some day-of necessities (mints, lip gloss, headache pills, etc). They can be a really cute gift.

The cardigans will probably get more use, but they will need an evening bag the night of your wedding. This is a toughie. Anyway you could do both, but lower price point on each?

I’d prefer the cardigan as I’d get more use out of it post-wedding. I know clutches are a “go-to” bridesmaid gift, but I wouldn’t re-use a silver/rhinestone clutch.

I love the Cardigan idea!!! =) Get more uses! I always lose my clutches! LOL

Thanks for the feedback ladies! Guess I’m off to search for cute cardigans! I really would like to do both but unless they’re dirt cheap it just can’t happen. I have like $20 left per girl since I already bought their shoes. Would it be totally out of line to ask the girls which gift they’d prefer?
