im trying to find the best deal for brown cardstock paper which will be used for my programs.  180+ peices 8.5" x 11".  im seeing that some are like $1 a peice @ Joann Fabrics and I didnt want to spend $200 on just the cardstock covers.

if you did DIY programs, where did you get your supplies (cardstock paper)?

does anyone want to share their brown/cream/orange themed programs?

    thanks!

I got some cardstock for other projects from Hobby Lobby (a store like Michael's) when they had a sale on papers (5 for $1).  You could check Michael's on occassion to see if their single papers go on sale (they're about 70cents each regular price).  Or maybe they might have a pack of it at a better price.

I also know that several bees have used this site: http://www.discountcardstock.com/ but I found the shipping charges off putting :(

I bought cardstock at Michaels in a package (granted there was some colors I won't use) but I think I got 50 sheets for a couple bucks.

Try your local office supply store! The closest to my home is an Office Depot- they carry a fairly wide range of colors of really nice cardstock. 250 to a pack for...$7? Something like that. Its were I bought the White 110lb cardstock for my programs, place cards, invitations, etc. Not sure what color brown you are looking for, but here they had a light sort of coffee brown and a darker brown, if my memory is correct. Also, another odd but good place to check for nice, inexpensive papers- Art supply stores! Especially if you are a student and there is one near a campus. Our local art supply store gives 15% off everything in the store to students! They carry a wide, wide, wide range of papers in every imaginable color. They often sell both by the single sheet and by the package.

    Good luck!

I bought my 65 pound cardstock at Kinkos for 18 cents/page.  They have a sample book of colors too.

go to Archivers (but first get on their mailing list to get coupons!) They will mail out buy 5 get 5 very often. I would always print two and have the FI go with me to get the cardstock we needed for our programs. Good Luck!
