What a great idea! We strap a harness on our dog and buckle him into the seatbelt. He hates it because he’d prefer to walk around (which we used to let him do) but I worry about what would happen if we got in an accident 🙁

@pixiecat:  Definitely a good carrier to keep the cats entertained but it wouldn’t be super great at protecting them during a car crash.

I need to get something for my cat. We rarely take car trips because he hates it so much, so usually I just have my parents babysit him if we go somewhere. Otherwise he’s chewing his way out of his carrier and crawling all around the car. The only thing that even remotely comforts him is for me to cuddle him… obviously not a great option while driving. We’ve tried different prescribed drugs for calming him but he just HATES the car. At least I want to keep him safe, so I think one of those harness buckles might work. Then he would be forced to sit there and settle down. Hopefully!

@pixiecat:  The sleepypod is a car safe carrier for smaller animals. Having an animals carrier remain in the seat is still safer than the carrier flying around. Human seat belts and airbags still cause injuries but they also keep passengers from becoming projectiles. I think this carrier is super cool and clever but it doesn’t seem safe.

Not my furbaby and not my life so my opinion doesn’t really matter 🙂

I just thought I would mention it in case you hadn’t considered the safety side of the carrier 🙂
