Hello Bees, I am helping my friend who is torn between the Cartier Solitaire 4 prong and Tiffany Solitaire 6 prong setings. Cartier looks more comfortable but Tiffany maybe more classic.
Please share your thoughts and photos.
1. Cartier Solitaire 4 prong
2. Tiffany solitaire 6 prong

Looking forward to seeing your real life photos and experience of both styles. Please share your ring experience.

Tiffany. I’m a 6-prong kinda gal though. For one, It’s sturdier (holds the diamond in better). And, I’ve seen round solitaires before in 4 prongs and have thought that they looked like a cushion (which I have nothing against, but if you want a cushion, then get a cushion lol). That’s my 2 cents!

I guess it would depend on how big the diamond is. If it’s a small one, a 6 prong may overwhelm the stone. But 6 prongs do offer better security

Cartier! I dislike Tiffany rings.

They both look nice, I guess it just depends on whether or not you like 4 or 6 prongs.. why these two brands, just out of curiousity?

Both so gorgeous, but Tiffany is my vote.

I am a huge fan of four prongs, and my own ring has four prongs. However, I would choose the six-prong Tiffany solitaire over the four-prong Cartier solitaire.

Tiffany six prong, much more secure, I love it, and it is VERY comfortable 🙂 Here’s mine:

Mine is 4, and I’m CONSTANTLY scratching myself on it!
So I’d vote Tiffany.

I’d pick the 6 prong Tiffany because I LOVE Tiffany’s 😉 and my ring is 6 prong and I love it. I chose it because it offers more security and makes the ring appear more round which is what I wanted.

As for high-end jewelry, I will always vote Cartier over Tiffany.

A 6 prong setting will always get my vote as I’m not a fan of 4 prong rings.
