Any Casablanca 1827 brides out there who have altered the unifinished edge of the dress? Any pics to share? Thank you!!

I really love the Casablanca 1827...I love everything about it except for how the lace overlay ends at the bottom of the dress. As you can see in the picture, it looks as if it's just cut very roughly with scissors. Do you have any advise on what I can do to make it look cleaner? The alterations person at the bridal show suggested buying scalloped lace edge...Or sewing on a beaded edge (the top of the dress has a beaded edge too).
Please help!
