First of all, we are date twins! Secondly, I just saw someone else post on this same thing. I sure hope they’re not using my wedding date! I ordered mine in early January so hopefully it will be here in plenty of time. Yikes!

I heard this a few months back, but I know that my dress arrived on schedule.  I ordered in late September and it came in early February.

Which Casablanca dresses are you gals wearing?

I’m wearing Casablanca 1920 in light ivory and I’ll be wearing this with a mantilla veil that I’m having made (with a large pear-shaped aquamarine/pearl and rose-cut diamonds pendant and pearl earrings)

(Obviously this is a model and NOT me! )

Oh by the way, I went to a dress shop and tried my dress on again and no more second thoughts. I still love her! I can’t wait until mine arrives!

I was worried about mine being late.  I ordered it in November, they said it would be in the first part of April.  I got a call yesterday saying it was in!!  I loved it the first time and can’t wait to try it on again since I’ve lost a bit of weight   It is the 1867…(btw definitely not so "pleaty" in person…I don’t know why they did that to the poor model!)

We’re date triplets!  I’m also getting married on the 15th of August, wearing Casablanca 1918.  I love my dress!

I am worried about the arrival though, since ours is a pseudo-destination wedding and I have to travel with it on August 1.   I just called the bridal salon and asked them what they knew, and here’s what they said:

"I have some that are a week late, and others that are on time, and others that are early.  There’s really nothing consistent about it.  But I haven’t had any that are more than a week late."

That’s not really comforting for me since my dress isn’t scheduled to arrive until June 3, and my first fitting is only a week later, so if it is late, I will miss my fitting and they won’t have any available appointments!  I’ve already lost a lot of weight since we ordered it, so it will need to be taken in A BUNCH… what if it doesn’t get here in time to get it all done??

1909 here!  I ordered mine in October 2008 and it arrived about 3 weeks ago – and I’m not getting married until October 2009 – so I’m safe!  I hope your dresses are, too!

Do you have pictures of you in it? This is one I’m considering along with 1906,1927, and 1859. It would be interesting to see it on a real bride, especially if you are short like me. I’m 5’2 and FI is 5’7 so no tall heels.

I’m 5’2 also and am trying my dress on again this weekend, so hopefully it won’t look like I’m drowning in it.  At Macy’s, the lady was obsessed with how short I was, trying to make me look taller with the dresses…I told her I’ve been short my whole life, no use in trying to fool people the day of my wedding.  But I’ll post back once I try it on! 🙂

Hi ladies- just as an update, I called to check on my dress again and was told that Casablanca is back on schedule now.  Hooray!  Hope that puts more minds at ease 🙂
