Hello bees and buzzers, my wedding is in Vancouver in August, woo!
I am looking for restaurant ideas for a rehearsal lunch or dinner for a group of 15+ family, something in the $10-25 price range for entrees. Some places don't seem to take summer reservations for groups over 10ish, or they want a preset menu -- but it's not in our budget to pay for a full rehearsal dinner when we're already paying for a full wedding dinner :/ Any ideas?
I really like Nu (www.whatisnu.com/) because of its AMAZING views. They have a lovely patio which overlooks False Creek and would be lovely. I admit I've never eaten there but dang, the cocktails sure are good (ha ha) and the menu looks really nice. Good luck!
Accents Restaurant has a wide variety of food for a very good price. Three course meals there start from $20, and I don't mean with a lousy salad appetizer or anything haha. They take resos for big groups.
I haven't actually been to The Reef on Main, but I hear it's quite good, and they also take resos for big groups.
Jules Bistro in Gastown or The Ocean Club in West Van might also be worth checking out for you. I'm not sure if these might be out of your price range.
Relish downtown on Nelson has a good menu and a separate room that will hold about 20 people. I've been there several times and the food is always good. It says they have set menus for parties but we booked a function there and everyone was just able to order what they wanted off the menu.
My girlfriends and I are going to Trattoria Italian Kitchen on W 4th tomorrow night. From what I've heard, it's yummy and reasonably priced. They don't take reservations after 6pm though, so it might be a better option for lunch.
Okay, just have to follow up with my previous comment - Trattoria was SO good! Most of the entrees were in the $15 ballpark, and they were delicious. Their drinks were great, and our server was hilarious and attentive without being overbearing.
