My dress is more casual and so comfy! It is Delphine Manivet-

Check out BHLDN too! Here’s an example of another dress I got that I might change into!

More examples–I’m a non-poofy, casual bride myself so I’ve done a lot of research 🙂

somanyletters:  I believe I am more casual than most. Nothing real fancy. The picture is a short version of my dress but it is the champagne color.

somanyletters:  Our wedding was actually pretty casual…married in a country chapel then BBQ reception at a barn.  I wore the dress I fell in love with, without thinking too much about whether it “fit” our type of wedding. I got so many wonderful compliments on it and I felt so beautiful And happy. My advice is to wear the one you feel beautiful in…you’re the bride and so you can’t be overdressed at your own wedding. It’s not possible.

We are having a pretty casual wedding (lake wedding, taking a boat out to some islands for pictures, pig roast, basically everything diy). I went with a lace dress, but not boho style. I think the fern looking leaves make a huge difference in making it look casual rather than blingy with sparkles and flowers like many lace dresses.

somanyletters:  Absolutely!!! If you go on their website they even will have little details about alteration advice! I definitely think it isn’t an issue at all, I’m getting my reception dress altered and it actually turned out great bc I found a really great lady to do it for cheap!

This is mine, from BHLDN. It is actually a bridesmaid dress but I think the tulle makes it look bridal. And the price is great, only $260!

somanyletters:  congrats! We had a semi-casual big outdoor wedding and I knew I didn’t want a poofy frilly dress, or a mermaid. I also didn’t want to spend a lot. I ended up with a lacy sheath dress with sheer lace cap sleeves from Macy’s for $120 and loved it. I think it’s for sale online at Nordstrom’s now if you look at their white/cream “evening gowns”. Best picture I have on this computer:

My wedding will be on the beach with 20 guests. Small restaurant reception after. Here is my dress.
