Casual wedding dress anyone?

@LincsMama:  I’m having a fairly traditional wedding at a not terribly fancy marina with the ceremony out on the lawn. I’d say the dress code will be somewhere below business casual and somewhere above casual. In any case, I plan for my dress to be just a white version of dresses I often wear- empire waist, flowy, possibly some lace accents but nothing crazy. My BFF wore something similar for her beach wedding and then had it shortened to tea length for her at-home reception. She plans to dye it whatever color I want my maids to wear for my wedding… so she will be wearing her wedding dress to my wedding! I kind of love that.

@LincsMama: LOL Yeah… I have no intention of even going dress shopping because I HATE shopping and I’m plus size. So my way of dealing with it is to just pick a style I already know looks good on me (and is comfortable). I know my seamstress well and I KNOW she’s going to give me shit when I say I’m wearing flats (she harrassed my friend when she said she was wearing flats with a bridesmaid dress last year), but she can suck it. I seriously might go barefoot for the ceremony. It’s my freaking day and I’m not going to be all sucked in and hot for my family’s viewing pleasure! LOL

@LincsMama:  I am also a 16//18 (sometimes even a 20, depending on the fit) and having a courthouse wedding. I picked this dress, it’s just a white, lace wrap dress.
