Wow, that cat hates you! I bet you can't wait to get out of the house and away from the cat!
Sorry to hear that!
My cat is a devil cat to everyone but me (FI is growing on her, too.) so much so that she scared my mom out of a room once just by glaring at her!
Cats are crazy expressive and can be a little, er, vicious. I love them though. Make sure you put Neosporin on your scratches and cover them with Band Aids!
No good! Cat scratches hurt even when they don't get infected!
My recommendation? When you have to move her again drop a towel over her and swaddle her like a baby until you can get her in the carrier. She'll make some god-awful noises but it will save her from hurting either herself or the person catching her.
Hope you heal up soon!
I have had CSF several times but then again I run a cast sanctuary because I adore the little beasties. Always prompty treat cat scratches and bites by flushing first with peroxide and then when dry, apply antibiotic ointment. Repeat several times.

Let me just start this post out by saying that I HATE my family's cat. I'm not much of a cat person, but even if i were, this cat is worse than others. She's seriously demonic or something. I have been hissed at / scratched / and chased around MY OWN HOUSE by her too many times to have an ounce of care for the dang thing.
ANYWAY, yesterday we were having our house tented for termites, so I had to get every living thing (myself and the dang cat) out of the house before they could start. When I tried to pick her up to put her in the pet carrier, she bit me and started scratching me. She bit and held on to my engagement ring - I was so scared she would eat or break it - so, I pulled that hand away, causing her to bite a huge gash into my ring finger, and tried to get her with my other hand - which she proceeded to bite as well... seriously, I have deep vampire holes in my hand. After that, I dropped her and proceeded to chase her around the house for about an hour until I finally scared her into a cabinet, put her carrier/cage at the only open entrance, and pushed her out from the other side with a broom. It was a miracle that I got her into the freaking cage.
So now, she's at FI's place, hiding somewhere - and who knows if we'll ever get her back in the cage again to take her home. And I have Cat Scratch Fever. No joke - look it up. My cuts/bites are infected and hurt sooo badly and I have a headache, fatigue, etc etc. I got a prescription for antibiotics (which will cause more issues being on it. blah!), and am just laying around now, but seriously, this freaking cat is trying to ruin my life!
Sorry for the venting. I hope you're all having a great day!
