I can’t speak to that specific catering company, but many caterers charge for tasting if you haven’t already signed a contract. Think about it from their business perspective. There are seriously, honestly, people out there (my former step-grandmother-in-law being one of them) who for fun schedule tastings for things like weddings just to get the free food and fill up Saturdays.

We are doing catering through Whole Foods and I could not speak more highly of them! Our go to gal is great and answers all of my crazy questions right away. Our tasting is next weekend and we don’t have to pay a dime! They do, however, have scheduled tastings so you can’t do one just whenever you want, you have to work with their schedule, but they have many times that are optimal…including a few Saturdays a month! You should check into them…they were also the cheapest we came across and will let us customize pretty much anything!
