What type of venue do you have? If it's putdoors, maybe a BBQ? If it's indoors, you should be able to find someone to do a simplle Italian buffet.
We're using Sonnys BBQ for our catering. We're spending less than $1000 for catering for 80 guests and they're providing us with 3 meats, 3 sides, sweet tea, lemonade, bread and butter, and all sauces.
It's going to be an outdoor wedding at a relative's house on the water. I did think about BBQ but do you think it's possible to find someone to do a buffet a little less casual?
There's a lot of ways to dress it up with presentation and decor. I would check out this real wedding for inspiration:

You live near the beach, have you thought of doing a clam bake style reception?
Thanks for the sites arizona! That burger bar is such a cute idea!!
We had thought of a shrimp boil but his family does one for the 4th of july at the same house...so we didn't want to be repetitive...
HEAVY Appitizers. For each app you should expect to spend 2.50-3.50 per person. You could get four or five options and keep them flowing through the night.

Does anyone have any good ideas for catering on a budget? Like 125 - 150 people on $2000? Doesn't really matter what the food is, just want it to taste good! I feel like I can't find anyone to accommodate me!!
