I love Mantilla veils! I think they are beautiful and when I went wedding dress shopping I based my choice of dress on being ability to blend in with a Mantilla… HOWEVER, I am aware that Mantillas are usually single tier and I really don’t want to compromise having a blusher. I love when the groom eagerly lifts the veil to kiss his wife for the first time and I think the whole idea is just very bridal. You can pin nearer the middle of the veil to the crown of your head to create a blusher, but this is no good as my dress has a cathedral length train and I want the veil to be the same length.
Therefore, my question is : Can you find Mantilla veils that are longer than the Cathedral length in order for you to create your own blusher? Or has anyone found one specifically made with a blusher?

You could do a mantilla drop veil and basically just have the front part of the veil come over your face and pin the sheer part to your hair, like the model in the second picture. http://www.weddingveil.com/veils2/catalog.php?category=2k&id=11101&PHPSESSID=b1f39caa85be8efdba

@ccflowers: Thanks for your help! My only concern is that my dress has a cathedral length train and I waanted a cathedral length veil to be the same length, so by pulling it forward to create a blusher I’ll take length away from the end :S Does that make sense?
Do you know if you can get Mantilla veils that are even longer than Cathedral?

You could have one custom made for you somewhere like Etsy.

Search for cathedral mantilla veil on etsy – there’s several that come up. Most of the veil makers will make a veil for you in any length.

@Golden Ticket: Thanks, I might go do that. Is that where you got yours from? I think I might need to find one I can try on and play around with first if I’m going to be ordering it off the internet. Hmmm, now to search Shops nearby with Mantilla’s!
