I love cathedral veils so I'm biased :)...But I think it would look beautiful with your dress!
I too think it would look gorgeous. I'm having a cathderal veil for the ceremony, and then ditching the veil and adding a hair flower for the reception - best of both worlds!!
I love cathedral veils and think that it is a perfect way to add some more drama to your dress! I wore one and absolutely loved it, I thought it brought a romantic and more dramatic look to our photos. Here's one of our pics, we had a Catholic ceremony as well.

I have a very simple David's Bridal my self and I opted for the catherdral veil to give me a little wow too. Actually mine is just plain tulle on a comb with a cut edge I bought off of etsy because I didn't have time/patience to make my own. It's simple and didn't cost a lot but it adds a wow factor for sure you're dress is really pretty by the way.
We are having our ceremony in a Catholic church and I am wearing a cathedral veil and then changing to a shorter veil for reception...best of both worlds :) Still get the dramatic bride like photos with both veils the whole night and then if I decide to take it off at the reception I have that option
I also have a simple dress and purchased a cathedral length veil for that very reason! I didn't want to pay the store price so I purchased it from a friend I met here on WB who wasn't able to wear hers because she accidentally left it at home--but did wear her cute birdcage veil so it all worked out. :) I think it the veil would look great with your dress and then you could ditch it after the ceremony because who wants to walk around with a veil that long in a reception room? Not me! I don't know I'm putting in my hear with the veil yet, but whatever I put will just stay in my hair once the veil comes off.

Good morning Bees!
I have a VERY simple wedding gown - David's Bridal V9621.
I already have a fingertip veil, but I can't keep myself from thinking about having a cathedral veil to bring some drama to the dress when I'm walking in for our ceremony. (We're having a Catholic ceremony w/out the Eucharist because I'm Lutheran, not Catholic.)
Anyways...what do you think? Would it add to the dress, or detract from its simplicity?
Thanks ladies!
