Cathedral veil - hide the back of my dress?

I love my ribbon sash, and the pop of purple is gorgeous. I'm also going for a more Celtic (almost Princess Zelda) look, which I think my dress would work. Minus the big bell sleeves. Sigh.

So, instead of bell sleeves, I was thinking about a cathedral veil, probably just for the ceremony. But would that hide the sash in the back? (It will be fuller, I forgot to put the crinoline on the dressform before snapping the pic!)

(I'm not going to wear the gloves. I was just goofing off!)

Does this dress fit that whimsical, Celtic fantasy feel? And would a cathedral veil work?

If the veil is very sheer, it won't hide the back of your dress at all! I had a lace bolero and I was scared the veil would cover up the details of it - but it didn't, just added to them. Try and borrow one/see how it goes with your dress!

I think your dress works perfectly for that theme!  I don't really think a cathedral veil will hide the back of the dress.. if it is only one layer of tulle it should easily be able to see through it and still see the back of your dress and the sash.  As the pp said, do you know of a veil you could borrow and try with the dress?
