I think a cathedral length veil would be lovely! I think you'll still be able to see the back of the dress even w/ the veil bc you can see through the veil. Also- by the time your reception rolls around you wont have the veil on any longer and your guests will get close ups of your dress then. As for the bra- try specialty bra places they have ones that have deep dips in the back. Good luck! btw, your gown is gorgeous!
GORGEOUS!!! I agree, you can totally wear the cathedral veil and still show off the back of your dress at the reception! I would try Victoria's Secret for the bra...it's always worked for me!
Wow, beautiful dress! May I ask what brand that is/where you got it!? I think a cathedral veil would look great with that dress!
I would definitely go with a cathedral veil! If you go with a simple veil I don't think it would take away from the back of the dress!
No idea about the bra, but i think a cathedral would look awesome. The dress is SPECTACULAR by the way.
If you decide you'd like to have the back showing you could go with a shorter veil or you could just buy a single layered cathedral that is very transparent. Also keep in mind that you wont have the veil on for the reception (presumably).
i think it would be lovely. veils are translucent enough, it wouldn't block the detailing, and besides, you probably will only have the veil on for ceremony and pictures anyway =D
Wow your dress is beautiful and you could do no wrong with whatever type of veil you choose to wear. As far as the bra situation goes I think if i were you I would go with these http://www.nubra.net/. Its a backless bra that just sticks on, I have never used it myself but i know someone who has that said it worked great.
Wow, that is one fantastic gown. Yes, you can of course wear a catherdral veil, it will even give you more of a dramatic effect.
Thats the Jim Hjelm model, so I think that must be who made the dress. Lucky girl! Those dresses are a fortune-- wish I could have one. It's exquisite.
it's gorgeous. a cathedral would be great. i'd even consider some lace trim to echo the waist
Yes the dress is Jim Hjelm 8858. I bought it second hand so it cost less than a fortune :)
As long as the cathedral veil is only 1 layer of tulle it should show the back of the dress just fine.
Also, have you tried the sticky bras? They are more supportive than you would expect. I was even surprised by how comfortable they were. Another option is a long slip with a bra undergarment. I saw it on herroom.com and it was specifically for backless dresses.

What do you think about wearing a cathedral veil with the dress below? I love cathedral veils, but I'm a little concerned about covering up the back, which is a focal point. Is there another style that would look better?
Also, speaking of the back, I'm also looking for a bra that won't show. I tried having cups put in and it just wasn't working. Sticky bras are sort of a last-resort thing. I am looking for ideas, links, really any sort of help with this.
Thanks in advance. (By the way, that's a model pic below.)
