So I was talking to my fiance today about how I will miss mass while we are on our honeymoon in Maui and he said that he was thinking that we would go to a church while there. I didn’t even think of that! So I am wondering if anyone has gone or will go to mass while on their honeymoon?

I’m definitely planning on going! I really appreciate it when Fiance and I go to Mass together.

Sure, it is wonderful to go to mass in a new church (and in a different language).

Of course! We will have so much to be thankful for and we will definitely find a way to go to Mass. I wonder if it’ll feel different going to Mass with my husband?

I was just thinking about that today. We will be in mexico…but i’m sure if there is a church nearby the hotel will point me in the right direction, so why not!

We will definitely be going! Vacation never stopped me before! 😉

Yup! That’s the great thing about being catholic… no matter where you are in the world, you are bound to find a church and they will be reading the same readings you would have read back at home! I love it!

@Mrs.Btobe: We didn’t honeymoon over Sunday. :-/ Four days!
But I did vacation in Maui with my in-laws this winter. We didn’t go to mass (FIL’s decision…rolls eyes. He wanted to drive to Hana that day). But my GMIL was really insistent that we should go to this church: http://www.saint-theresa.com/ Its supposed to be nice if you can get over there. We walked into this church: http://www.marialanakila.org/ a few times and it was really pretty. I think seeing mass in cultures different than your own can be really interesting – definitely do it!

yep we did 🙂 we honeymooned in costa rica, luckily i’m hispanic so I understood the mass but Darling Husband caught maybe a little of what they were saying. I have to agree its a great experience being at mass in a different country, to see how universal our faith really is. language and culture may be different but we worship just the same 🙂
you should research any nearby churches by your hotel or ask around once ur there, most ppl are happy to point you in the right direction 🙂

I always plan to go to Mass during vacation, it’s so interesting to see other churches and customs.
We went to Mass on our Honeymoon in Hawaii, which was like literally 2 minutes from our hotel, and they have an adjacent building with a museum and shop.
