I am having a Catholic wedding ceremony with an organist. I don’t know about anyone else on here but I am not a huge fan of the bridal march, I personally think it is a bit cheesy. Are there any other songs that can be played by an organist for me to walk down the aisle to? I was thinking Canon in D for the bridesmaids but not sure what song I should walk down the aisle to? The church I am getting married at won’t allow any other type of music other than the organ music. Bees, what music did you use to walk down the aisle to with an organist?

I would talk to the church organist to get some suggestions. He/she has likely played dozens if not hundreds of weddings and can tell you what would work well in the church and for their particular instrument. There is so much more in the repertoire than Canon in D.
