Yes! My husband is Filipino and we did all the traditional Filipino ceremonies. We did ours in a Presbyterian church, so it wasn’t exactly the same, but you can see how they look in our wedding video here:

I also attached the inside of our wedding program so you can see where they go in the order of things, and what our minister said. Half our guests were not familiar with these traditions so we used the program to explain what was happening. [attachment=121455,3587]

Oh – and if you need to get a Filipino ceremony veil, I have one for sale for $5. We bought two and only used one, so the second one is brand new. It’s similar to the one in the video.

Here is a helpful link: http://www.weddingsatwork.com/culture_customs_filipino.shtml I’m Catholic and so is my Filipino fiance, so I knew the regular parts of the ceremony but the three additional ones are really nice. There’s an added sanctity; it provides more reminders of joining together and caring for each other. Plus you can have friends or family be a part of your ceremony that aren’t in the bridal party.

I am Catholic and Hispanic and we have a lot in common, culturally speaking, with Philipino weddings.  Here are the traditional wedding gifts we are getting from our padrinos "sponsors."  The padrinos are supposed to be people who are close to you, willing to supoort yuo throughout your marriage, and also preferably Catholic.

Hope this helps!
