Hi and welcome to Weddingbee, and congratulations on being engaged! I'm 99% positive that you are going to have to ask a specific church/priest on this one, but I imagine that they would do it.

Hi everyone!
So I am engaged! I am a Spanish Citizen living in the US, my fiancee is a US citizen. We all know how lenghty the civil process is ! so I asked the embassy if we could do the civil marriage in the US and do the wedding in the church, they said yes but to let the church know so that they don't initiate the legal paperwork thru registrar's office, this is considered a "blessing", it is basically the same as a Catholic wedding except for the fact they don't initiate any paperwork for you.

My question is does every catholic church allow this?
Thank you!!
