@ChantelleC90:  I’d go leading up to the wedding.  My FI isn’t Catholic but we;re getting married at my Catholic Church.  I go pretty much each week anyways but I’m not making him go.

@ChantelleC90:  FI and I are both Catholic but I was never confirmed.  We started going regularly as soon as we got engaged (FI had been going sporadically but I hadn’t been in YEARS).  Then I decided I wanted to make my confirmation, and we are going every week to both RCIA and mass.

@ChantelleC90:  if he isn’t catholic nor wants to be, why would he go to mass? Or why would you both get married in a catholic ceremony?

@AnaA:  I agree. If you are really not into your amazing Catholic faith, then why go through the  troubles of planning a Catholic ceremony? I am suprized that you are able to have a full Catholic mass wedding when both of you are not full practicing Catholics.

@ChantelleC90:  It doesn’t really matter all personal preference.  We didnt go regularly and got married at a catholic church.  We try to make it at least once or twice a month.

@ChantelleC90:  Well then you don’t need to go to mass just because you are getting married there (unless your priest tells you so). I go to my church because I believe in what they preach and in the fellowship we live in. I think that’s why you should go to a church.

@ChantelleC90:  What does your priest say? Has this come up with them?

@ChantelleC90:  in the UK, they like you to go regularly for at least 6 months prior to the wedding. I started going more regularly after Christmas, largely because my mum was getting her knickers in a twist about it.

@ChantelleC90:  It sounds like you are getting something out of going which is nice to hear. I’m pretty sure He’d be happy to have you either way. 🙂
