My fiance and I are having a full mass ceremony in a couple weeks, and I am having a horrid time finding a good template or ideas of how the program should look.
We have all of our readings and everything chosen from our 'Together for Life' book, but I don't know how to format.
If anyone has any ideas, or can e-mail one that would be so amazing.
I found this website and the A4 mass booklet helpful; it depends how many non-Catholics you have in terms of what you want to include. I also did a serach of the boards and another reader was kind enough to e-mail me her program.
I haven't made programs yet, but what my priest suggested was buying the covers and then he will print the program for us. So, if you were to diy, it seems that you could make a powerpoint presentation and have each page be a slide. You could change the margins on it so that you have more room and then just make everything into two columns. Print it off on the front and back of the page and then fold the paper in half and you will have a program that is about 5.5 inches wide and 8.5 inches tall (since it is half of a normal sized sheet of paper). I don't know if this helps you out or not, but this is what we are doing since it seems pretty easy. We just ordered our covers online and it was pretty hard to find anything that wasn't on the cheesy-looking side. I think that you could also just have the pages be on normal paper (or colored paper or resume paper) and then you can print the cover off on thinner card stock. Maybe do the covers at Kinkos and the rest from home? I hope this helps...this is just our idea, we haven't made them yet! If you want, I could send you our program power point when it's finished.
We finished our program last night, and it is for a full nuptial mass. If anyone wants me to send it to them just let me know, and I will send it over so that you do not have to recreate the wheel.
If you dont like the template we have you can always just use it for the wording, as that was the hardest part for us.
