I do not know where in the ceremony the lighting of the unity candle or the dedication to the blessed mother should go. I am having a full mass ceremony. Please HELP!
The unity candle is lit after the vows/exchange of rings.
I'm doing the Blessed Mother Dedication after Communion - the choir is singing Ave Maria.
I've been to many Catholic weddings and this is what I've seen.
Rite of MarriageDeclaration of VowsBlessing & Exchanging of RingsLighting of the Unity Candle
Then the gifts, communion, etc.
After this:Blessed Mother DevotionNuptial BlessingI now pronounce you...
If you are both Catholic then your priest may suggest you skip the unity candle. Otherwise, Alaud41's mass outline is spot on. Take care!
