I haven’t seen it but if you think your cat will be fine, I say go for it. We had our dog in our wedding and he was so badly behaved. He got over-excited by all the people, had to be sort of dragged down the aisle, and then whined/barked for most of the ceremony bc he was so amped up. And I still loved him being there and wouldn’t have done it any different. So I think— as long as your’e cool with possible mis-behaving go for it. Just maybe have a designated cat-wrangler who can take him out and cage him if he gets too disruptive.

If I could, I totally would.  I want my cat to share the day with us!!!  But it’s not possible — no animals are allowed, and she’s stupid on a leash.  She would just sit there and not move.

@kateisstoned:  I have never seen a cat at a wedding.  I’m a crazy cat lady but my cat is not friendly or good on a leash.  He gets stressed easily.

I really wouldn’t suggest it.

This is how we incorporated our cat on our wedding day:

Pictures with him before getting into my dress (he’s not declawed so I couldn’t trust him around my dress!)

And on our customized cake topper.

I’m super allergic, so I wouldn’t vote for this! I am told that cat allergies can be more severe than dog allergies. Also, would you have a litter box there? 🙂

@peachacid:  yup! the few times i tried to leash my cats this is exactly what they did. They did not move just sat there. It is so much easier just to carry them, if they let you.

@kateisstoned:  I have made this joke to my FI, because we are obsessed with our little Kitty baby. But honestly, she’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, and would totally  be all “wtf lady!?” if I tried to put her in the car, let alone put a leash on her. If your cat is cool with it, I’m all for it. I’m sad ours will be sitting at home all day while we celebrate! I totally think you should get one of those cat strollers and decorate the hell out of it. haha

I want to incorporate our cats, but I don’t want people to forever think I’m a crazy cat lady. My MOH poked fun of me at my bridal shower for this haha. They are great on leashes, too, and we take them everywhere. Even camping.

However, I think that we’re going to leave them out of the wedding day. We might do what @mchitt329:  did, and take pictures with them before hand.

I even thought about buying this tie for Sensei to wear. It’d match my bridesmaids, lol.

I’ve nevet seen a cat at a wedding. Personally I don’t like cats, I’d think it was weird.

@missmorganista:  SO CUTE!

@lightmist:  Thank you 🙂

OP make sure you have a plan for who will take care of the cat into the night, do you want them around when the music starts blaring?  That doesn’t sound fun for them.

I would be surprised if the cat liked it. even the friendliest cat doesn’t love being with such a huge group of humans.

That said I incorporated our (4) cats into the wedding on our return address stamps. they had 2 cats with linked tails forming a heart.

But that’s it.
