So I am a caucassian female. I am mostly swedish with some english and other european descents. I have blond hair and green eyes. My boyfriend on the other hand, is 100% Japanese! lol. This is the first time I have dated outside my ethnicity. It's really awesome actually and there are several benefits such as I never knew how to use chopsticks properly and now I can eat practically anything with them lol. As for racism, we have received some 'looks'. Once when we were on the max. It's interesting because it usually came from other caucassian females. Another time we were crossing the street to go to a nearby restaurant and a car of Japanese looking people slowed down even when their light turned green to take a nice long look lol. Maybe I stand out even more because I am maybe 1 inch taller than him lol. But it doesn't bother me. "Be the change you wish to see in the world"

I'm a Mexican-American female (but so pale you wouldn't even know) and my FI is Chinese (originally from China) from Houston. There's a HUGE diversity in this city that it's not so uncommon to see mixed races. I do tend to see more Asian guys with non-Asian girls in Houston....maybe it's the norm here than in Cali.

hi ladies

I'm australian born with italian born parents. My FI is australian born too but his dad was born in portugal and his mum was born in the Philippines. I'm very italian looking but my FI is very dark in coloring (from the portuguese side)....he calls himself a hybrid!!!! lol

He always gets asked where hes from as he is so unusual looking....it cracks me up!! he gets asked if his egyptian, burmese, lebanese, spanish, mexican... etc... all the time. he's even had indian people think he's indian!!! when he tells them he is not they don't believe him...they think he is yanking their chain!! lol

it is more common to see caucasian men with asian women, in australia as well. as a couple, we don't really get any stares from people...but I attribute that to me being dark in complexion as well....if i was fair & blonde it might be a different story.

I do notice that if my FH goes into a shop or a public venue, in more casual clothes and is sporting a mo or beard, security guards tend to watch him more....and he always gets selected at the airport to do those (supposedly) random drug and explosive tests....no joke. I always tell him he could hire himself out as a drug mule decoy!!! hehehe!!!
