Though my personal reaction is more disinterest if a baby is quiet (which apparently makes me the spawn of Satan lol, but I can't help that I don't find babies cute! They're just small people! And loud, smelly, demanding small people at that! Give me a puppy any day ;-) ), or a kind of wince if it screams.

That said, at work I have mastered the art of tuning crying out lol; I sometimes get customers complaining about 'the noise' and I'm like 'What? What noise?' lol

There's a reason the Childfree community refers to them as sprog, spawn, crotchfruit, etc. Gross.
