I was using ING to just save, not for a CD. Currently we moved all of it to DollarSavingDirect. Their CD rates are 3% for 16 months, minimum of $1K.
I currently have an etrade savings account. Their savings account gives 3.05% and I have seen it as high as 5.05%. There is no minimum time frame that you have to keep your money in, and there is only a $10 minimum to open the account. I keep all of my savings in it, and transfer it into my checking when I need it. I HIGHLY suggest it!
Those both sound great. I've been told ING is the best, but those both sound better. I'll have to look into them! Thanks so much!
ING is great for everyday type saving because of the no minimum/no fees/no transfer fees. But there are better places to get CDs at. I typically check bankrate.com to see who has the best rates. But there are other sites like that out there that will compare different banks to see who has the best rate.
i know it links to your checking account but what other security measures are there??

Does anyone know of any banks offering rates higher than 2% for CDs? I'm currently using ING, but I was wondering if there is anything better out there?
