I have Verizon now, I used to have AT&T. I honestly hate them all for different reasons.
Verizon releases weird changes to the billing policy and then retracts them. When I had AT&T, my phone broke after the warranty and they tried to extend my contract to ten years after the apocolypse, basically. I guess to me, Verizon was the lesser of two evils, but my FI swears by AT&T.
This post was probably the least helpful one I've ever written..sorry!
I've had Verizon for 7 years and have only come across 2 dead zones ever.
@MissAsB: Agreed with this. The service is pretty great on Verizon. I even get service in the underground metro system here,
I was with Cingular (now ATT) and got tired of them, so went with Verizon. While the service is the best, their rates are ridiculous, and they keep taking away perks, so really the benefits are starting to completely go away. I really would love to not have to deal with any of the larger companies, because they all suck for their own reasons
I have AT&T and quite like it. I can get service in the tunnels going into the city. I do have 4G though, so maybe that's why.
I had T-Mobile for about 10 years and hated them. We switched to AT&T last year and don't have much bad to say about them. I'm in Philly and can get signal down on our train platforms (doubly underground), so that's pretty awesome to me.
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback... we're looking at different plans right now- I have verizon and never EVER drop a call, he has t-mobile and I can only hear every few words he says. Drives me nuts! I'm trying to convince him to come over to "the dark side" but it may end up being cost prohibitive :( Verizon is great, but pricey.
i had sprint for 7 years- HORRIBLEEEEEEE..found out they were overcharging me when i was on a fixed plan! I had tmobile many yeears ago and didnt love them but didnt hate them either.
We just got a family plan..and tmobile has the best bang for the buck with 4 lines unlimited
I have Verizon and have only had problems since I moved to WI a couple years ago - I only get reliable service in my bedroom! So annoying! But DH works for corporate US Cellular now, so we're in the process of getting mine switched over, now that his is. It's good for the area we live in. (southern WI) and our plan is basically free due to DH working there, so I can't complain about that!
verizon customer service sucks! but their actual phone service isn't bad. I havent had any problems - I have an iphone and the rest of my family has iphones too on sprint and i notice my service is much better in my area than theirs.
I'm on Verizon (have been since I got my first cell phone) because they had the best coverage on my college campus and had the best nationwide coverage (important since I was going to school out-of-state) and I have no plans on switching, especially since I plan on upgrading to a smartphone and they have the one of the best coverages here in the SF Bay Area (AT&T has a horrible reputation in SF proper). And I'm often the only one who can get service in out of the way areas.
I've had Verizon for over 8 years and never had issues with them. I've lived all over the country (from coast to coast and in between) during that time as well as taken many a road trip and I don't really ever have issue with getting signal, even in the middle of no where.
I've had Verizon for about 5 years and have had very few issues. The issues that I did end up having with them were spread out, unrelated, and fixed quickly and all with some sort of added discount to compensate.
We’ve had AT&T/Cingular for more than 5 years now and I have no complaints. I’ve had Verizon, Sprint and Nextel (before they merged) in the past and they were all terrible. Though, from what I gather Verizon has gotten better in recent years. T-mobile is useless in my area. There’s almost no reception.
Verizon is awesome. I've been here, there and everywhere (all over the world) and have never been let down! Reasonable prices too. :-)
