    Hey bees,

    This is VERY NWR. :)

Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on some different phones. I have Sprint and I have a Blackberry Pearl at the moment. I'm annoyed with it, and I want to get a new phone. I really want the HTC Touch Pro2, but the thing is so dang expensive. Maybe I will just have to save up for it and deal with the pearl for a while...My other choices are the Samsung Moment, Palm Pixi or Pre...Only issues with those, SD card? Who makes a smartphone anymore without an SD card slot? Also, I am concerned about battery life...I am constantly forgetting to charge my phone. I like that the blackberry phone case actually preserves battery life. Do any of the other smartphones have cases like that?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

We have Sprint. My husband just got the HTC Hero. He loves it but the battery doesn't charged. But I think with any smart phone, you'll have that issue. My friend has an Iphone and she has the same problem. I've played with his phone and I love it! I can get a new phone in March and I think I may get a Hero.

I have an iPhone with AT&T, but my hubs is with Verizon and has an HTC Eris (sp?) which is the Droid, and he loves it. His battery life sucks (as does mine, tessabella is right - that's just smart phones for ya, especially touch ones) but he said it's totally worth it. I had never heard of HTC prior to this, but it's a good phone, so far!

I JUST got a new phone - a few months ago - I have T-mobile and it was either the my touch or the Motorola Cliq.

Although I have hated my previous motorola phones, the guy assured me that they were getting better.  The Cliq had the keypad and the Mytouch does not.  So I got the Cliq and I LOVE it!!!  **edit** It is a droid phone and the battery life sucks - but I like that I can charge it with a USB, so while it sits on my desk at work, it charges.

Have had no problems, it's very intuitive - read: easy for the technically challenged like me.

Before that - I had a Samsung phone an it was awesome. It lasted 2 yrs with no problems.  (It has the SD card slot though)

If there is another way to back up/store/tranfer data on the phone, other than the SD card, I wouldn't not get a phone for that reason.  My SD card holds tons of pics, but it's never full.

We have Sprint.  My FI has the palm pre.  He loved it at first but he's totally over it, there are sometimes little random kinks in the programs and the battery life is horrible.  I have the BB Curve.  I like it.  I have no complaints.  I tried to switch to a touch screen but it wasn't for me so I ran back to the blackberry.  I'd wait to buy any of the newer phones because the first model tends to have a lot of issues.  I'd suggest the BB for now.

Yea, the Samsung I was looking at has an SD slot. I just don't know what to think about the actual operating system. And I know I am confused by the Palm's OS. Battery life is going to suck no matter what. Not that big a deal, I just will need to have a charger in Hubs' truck and in my vehicle too. Oh well. I'm a nurse, so at work my phone is usually off anyway.

I love Palm!  I have the Palm Centro, ant it's fantastic.  I love that I have my calendar with me in a good and easy to use format all the time.  (The BB calendar sucks.)  I haven't had a chance to look at either the Pixi or the Pre since I'm on Verizon, but I'd highly recommend you check them out!

@Erin- I agree, BB calendar does suck! I didn't like the Centro. I'm kind of hoping the Pixi and the Pre aren't on the same OS or at least that it has been improved. I also don't like the idea of a touch screen I have to use a stylette for because I lose them. Maybe I'll have to hit up the Sprint store...hm. Lame. I hate going there. LOL

So, I looked at all the smartphones at Sprint yesterday. I am thoroughly confused. Everyone on the Sprint website who has reviewed the phones hasn't had much good to say about them. I did like the Palm Pre...just hated how tiny the buttons are. They are SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the BB Pearl's buttons...I am so thoroughly confused now that I almost just think I should upgrade to the curve because at least I would only have the same problems I have now and not all the added touch screen issues. :( This new phone search is getting frustrating.

i have an iPhone (and had Verizon service but never had a smartphone prior), which I love dearly, so I can't offer any opinions sadly. the HTC looks like it comes pretty close from what i've seen/heard.
