Okay let me just start by saying I hate the thought of buying flowers as centerpieces and then them die! Sooo rather than buying flowers I hunted down alternative ways! I stumbled on weddingchicks.com and used their paper flower tutorial. I finished one this weekend. It needs a little tweaking but here’s what I have so far. I’d much rather put the flower money towards something else since we’re paying for this alone. Thoughts on the pieces? They will be on half the tables and were doing fresh floating flowers on other tables.

I love it! I am doing something similir, with wooden boxes and paper flowers. I think it looks soft and pretty, and like how the flowers contrast with the wood. One thought, and this is just what I would do, is have the flowers just a little bit higher, so they look like they are “overflowing” the box a little, instead of sitting inside. That is just my own little tweak, I really do like them! Happy crafting 🙂

I agree with littletree! Maybe even put some greenery (like dried moss maybe?) beneath it to give it a little more color and some height?
