Okay Bees, I have LOTS of time, almost a year! But we're looking at styles of centerpieces so we can get a better idea of how much we'll be spending and I am looking foward to getting things started with purchases and DIY if necessary.

Our venue is a restored Granada Theater, it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It is really large though and I was hoping to keep the lighting low and have lots of candle light on the tables to make it feel more intimate.

Let me know what you think about these options. I'm still new to the Bee so let's hope I get the pictures to upload well!

Option A: I'll do one of the larger and scattered of the others.

Centerpiece choice? : wedding centerpiece candles Iron

Centerpiece choice? : wedding centerpiece candles Iron2

Option B: I would DIY these with Vellum paper wrapped around cylinder vases of different sizes. One large one would be on the table with the table number printed on it then others with just cream vellum (possibly a cream damask or lace-type pattern if I can figure it out).

Does the venue have high ceilings?  If so, in my opinion I like the iron option, it would add height.

Yes, VERY high celings, but the height of the iron is actually only 16 1/2" high, so the height of those and the largest vase would be the same. I'm loving the feedback, I think all of my friends are really tired of hearing about weddings :/

#2. Just make sure that your centerpieces do not sit taller than 8" max or else they will obstruct views across the table and hinder conversations.

Oh good call on the height! Honestly I thought I was prepared for wedding planning before I started planning! Now I am feeling SO thankful for this resource! Keep the comments coming, I love any and all advice! :D

I really love #1. Where on earth did you find them? They are beautiful and really classy, and I don't think you'd have a problem resaling them after if you chose to.

@MrsJellyBean: I found them on ebay, they are actually fairly reasonably priced (for my budget, some might think they're cheap cheap cheap! haha). I just started typing in "wedding centerpiece" and "wedding decor" and randomly stumbled across them!

It was on etsy.com, when I get home I'll try to remember the website! I googled "wedding luminaries" or something similar and went through the shopping results. I'm in class and clearly paying really close attention! ;)

I think #2 is dreamy. I love everything about it and it's so classy and simple, yet elegant. Whatever you choose will be goregous! Can't wait to see what you pick!

I really like the vellum. It seems a little more modern and sophisticated to me. It would be pretty to sprinkle in a few blooms of you favorite flower amongst the candles somehow.
