@inky_1:  Oooh, those are really pretty! The candles remind me a bit of aspen trees.

I really like the combinations you’ve picked out.  I think it’ll come together really nicely.

@inky_1:  I love your idea, have a question for you, how much did your mock up cost you? are you getting most of your items from nature? really tree  branchs or buying them from a store, ect?? I LOVE the idea a firend of mine is trying to do something similar and i wanted to help out..

@inky_1:  try to keep the components of the centrepiece to a miniumum.  if you have too many, people won’t know where to look.  they won’t even see the burnt heart (which is adorable).  the reason we see it right away in your inspiration pic is b/c there are only a few elements to view; the base, the pillar candles and the heart.

i would just do a thin wood base and different sized pillar candles like in the pic.

figure out what the focal point of the centrepiece is supposed to be and go from there.  i like the lantern too but usually that’s what people see first and that’s ok if that’s what you want.

i can’t wait to see the examples.  please let me know when you post them.

@inky_1:  yes, that’s a good idea.  there are so many nice ideas but utilize them in different areas, not all in one.  the wood candle holders would look great by the cake table or on the gift / signing table.
