I would do a collection of different sizes of glass vases (think cowboy boot’s wedding pics). It is simple and southern without being too country. The clear vases would go with the lace and the craft paper. Have you thought about doing something other than the black lace? I am wondering how that is going to pair with Kraft paper, which is more on the rustic, artsy side.

I like the black lace wrapped around the bottles – have you though of doing a daisy in each bottle?  Sort of playing on the quaint-ness of your ideas and also the whole “he loves me not” aspect?

Regarding craft paper?  If you enjoy gift wrapping, make kraft paper your signature wrap.  Buy different colored ribbons but always wrap everything for every occasion in kraft paper.  It’s one of my favorite tricks. 🙂

Ohhh, I thought you meant actually putting the baby’s breath INSIDE the bottle (like flowers and all) which I thought would be really cute! I would worry about getting too tall with the centerpieces or people won’t be able to see over the top of them (I may be guilty of this in my wedding).

I mean the whole pulling the petals off a flower “he loves me / he loves me not” style 🙂

I am not a fan of Baby’s Breath, overall – I’d so something a little more understated.

I like baby’s breath by itself, its chic.

I too am a kraft paper finatic (used it for invites, cootie catchers, and table numbers so far). I love the idea of your kraft paper runner. What if you then put circular pieces of fabric at the center (about 12-18″ diameter) perhaps of a print you like with your colors. And then the wine bottles with the flower of your choice?

Another option could be lace/eyelet covered candles–I love this look! They could sit atop a solid colored fabric circle in the center of the table on top of the Kraft runner. Here’s a picture of the candles…

@Mamasita2004: Sure! I’m planning on finishing up the cootie catchers tonight–lots of folding! So I’ll send you a pic once they’re done

Maybe you could use the wrapped candles on another table, like the guest book, cocktail table, or cake table, or bar! (although maybe not with alcohol + fire…)
